I know the cost is a bit high but the savings are out of this world! One sweet potato could make you 24 feedings if you give your baby 2 cubes and 48 feedings if you give baby 1 cube. Gerber baby food costs around $1.00 for 2 feedings. It’s a no brainer! It will quickly pay for itself and then save you a lot of money.

Believe me, I am all about saving money. I also use my Vitamix to grind up coffee beans for my K-cup refills, granola for parfaits, oats for homemade baby cereal and so on. It is such a powerful machine, you can use it to grind up just about anything!

It is made of BPA free Eastman Tritan Copolyester. The 64 ounce container will save you time by not having to make several batches. The motor has several speed settings, giving you full control of the textures and consistencies. This makes it perfect for stage 1 and stage 2 purees.

It is also great for smoothies. It can handle frozen fruits and veggies, such as rock hard frozen strawberries! The stainless steel blades make this a powerful and durable appliance that will give you amazing and consistent results, even after years of daily use!

Vitamix 5200 Series Blender can blend even the smallest of things, such as flax seeds and leafy greens, without leaving any chunks or small pieces. I give it 5 out of 5 stars because I haven’t had any issues with mine over the past 5 years and it is a breeze to clean.

These BPA free homemade baby food containers are perfect for defrosting and warming up baby food.  It is recommended to warm foods in glass baby food storage containers because BPA and phthalates found in plastic can stick to foods, disrupting the endocrine system.

I love these leak proof containers because they are made with heavy glass, making them very durable.  Each microwave and dishwasher safe container can hold 3 small cubes or 2 large cubes of frozen baby food.  Daycare facilities also love these containers because they make warming up foods a piece of cake and they are so easy to clean.

A really interesting list here 😉
I was actually looking for a blender for some time, and this Vitamix seems a really good choice, I’ve heard of it many times so I guess it’s pretty popular.
I’ve seen this one is called Vitamix 5200? Is it a rather new or older version? And do you have any ideas about the other ones existent on Amazon?

    Hi Rachc

I truly love your website. I have always made my kids and grandkids foods only because of all the stuff that you hear that they put in those store brought jars. I have always been very afraid of getting glass or some kind of bacteria in it so I love the information you have provided. I would love to see more moms and grandma’s doing this just so we can protect our children in this day and time. Keep up the great work and looking forward to seeing more information on your site.

Thank you for your kind words. I completely agree! It truly is a win win. It costs less, it’s easy to make, there are no fillers or preservatives and it’s delicious! It is also an easy way to sneak in veggies for those picky eaters. I am very passionate about this and I try my best to encourage all parents to at least give it a chance.
