Baked Pear Puree Recipe

Learn how to tell when a pear is ripe.

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Wash 3 pears.
  3. Cut the sides of the pears so that you have a total of 4 sides per pear, totaling 12 sides.
  4. Discard the cores.
  5. Place the 12 pear sides face down in a glass baking dish and add enough water so that the water is 1″ deep.
  6. Bake for 15 mins, checking the water and stirring occasionally.
  7. Place the pears into Vitamix or blender.
  8. Add 2 ounces of water from the baking dish (contains a lot of nutrients) and 1 scoop of formula OR 2 ounces of breast milk.
  9. Blend until the puree can easily pour out of the blender into the ice cube trays.
  10. Add more water or breast milk if the puree is too thick.
