Avocado Puree Recipe

Learn how to tell if an avocado is ripe and at its prime!

  1. Wash 2 avocados.
  2. Cut lengthwise around each avocado, just deep enough to feel the pit with your knife.
  3. Twist the avocado halves in opposite directions to separate.
  4. Remove the pits with a spoon or drive the knife into each pit and twist the knife.
  5. Cut each side in half.
  6. Peel the skin off or remove the avocado meat with a spoon and place into Vitamix or blender.
  7. Add 2 ounces of bottled water and one scoop of formula OR 2 ounces of breast milk.
  8. Blend until the puree can easily pour out of the blender into the ice cube trays.
  9. Add more water or breast milk to thin or add more avocado to thicken.
